Miriam, Maja, Rong, and Eleonora attend the Focused Ultrasound Neuromodulation Conference in Hong Kong (July 2025)

Miriam gave a talk on the lab’s project entitled “Focused ultrasound reveals causal role for human basolateral amygdala in resolving emotional ambiguity”, while Maja presented a poster of her ongoing research titled “Investtigating the role of human pgACC in cost-benefit decision making using transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS)” for which she won the best poster award.

Miruna wins Young Investigators Award (May 2025)

Miruna won the prize with an “oral blitz” presentation of her DPhil research at the Annual Conference of the National Neuroscience Society of Romania.

MoDeS lab secures funding for TUS low mood study (Feb 2025)

Our team has been awarded £42,000 from the Mental Health Pump Priming fund from the NIHR to undertake a transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) study on low mood.
